Will turned 5 on June 19th!
Will had a fun birthday party with all of his Joy School friends.  He still loves race cars, especially Lightening McQueen.  I have a feeling this might be the last year he loves Lightening so much though.  The big thing that he kept begging and begging to have for his party was a Lightening McQueen pinata.  I warned him that we may not be able to find one.  Luckily we finally did at a party supply store.  We also had a chocolate ice cream cake (very homemade looking), and played pin the wheel on Lightening.  Aspen is the talented one who painted a poster of Lightening McQueen for the fun game.  Will got spoiled with lots of car presents.

As a combo birthday present for Sean and I, and a late 12th wedding anniversary we treated ourselves to an overnight trip to San Francisco.  Sean was thrilled because we were seeing his beloved Giants that night.  I was excited because it was a night away from the kids for nothing but fun.

We went with our good friends Sheila and J.J. Reidhead.  They have quickly become some of our closest friends here in Reno.  It was so fun to carpool, see the game, and double date.  Sean got to see his favorite young pitcher, Lincecum,  up close.  We stayed in a nice hotel suite, and then spent most of Saturday seeing the sights, seeing the aquarium and wax museum and Ripleys Believe it Or Not Museum.  We went to a great seafood restaurant for lunch and brought home lots of sourdough bread!  Wish we could make a San Francisco trip every month!

Will had his Joy School graduation today!  I can't believe the school year is over already and that my little William is growing up so fast.

We sure have enjoyed Joy School this year.  It was so nice to have the interaction and learning environment for Will, and it was fun for us Moms too.

For graduation, we met at the park, dressed the kids in their cute little cap and gowns, had a little program (songs, a poem, thank you's, etc).  Then the diplomas and "report cards" were passed out.  Mostly the kids just wanted to know when they could have treats and go play.  Isn't that always the case?  Graduation is always more for the parents then for the student.
