 Celeste is EIGHT now! Don't ask me why, but Celeste specially requested having a ducky party. We're not talking a plastic yellow rubber ducky party either. She has had this old yellow duck stuffed animal for years, and this year she decided her party needed to be completely all about her cuddly yellow duck. Most party ideas revolving around ducks are geared towards toddlers, not to mention that anything ducky is kinda hard to find in the middle of autumn (much easier say during Easter season), but we did our best to improvise. Every girl got a foam ducky visor (really they're parrots, but close enough). We laid out her blue gymnastic mats to create a square "pond." In the pond they played hot potato and of course duck duck goose. They also made jewelry mostly because we had all the supplies left over from the other two girls' parties back in July. Kylee made the cutest Duck poster for Celeste, and they played pin the webbed foot on the duck. All the girls got to color a ducky coloring page. The very homemade looking ice-cream cake is supposed to be little ducks swimming around in a pond. The kids had fun, and that's what counts.       |
