His bellybutton scab still hasn't fallen off yet. The doctor said any day though. I can't wait to give him a real bath. Sponge baths are such a pain. Eli hates having his lower half washed, it's one of the few times I've heard him belt it out so loud. As soon as I put a diaper on him and gently wash his head, it's like heaven for him. You can see the pure ecstasy in his eyes. It's so adorable!
The kids still love him to pieces, but he's not the center of their lives anymore. Will has tried to regress a touch though. He's been talking like a baby and occasionally crawling around on the floor like a baby, or even wanting to be held like a baby. We had to have a good chat about how much better it is to be a BIG BOY, and how many more things he can do than if he were a baby. In fact, the only reason Will could come up with why he wanted to be a baby was because then he could stay up late. When I mentioned the 3-4 naps a day that babies take in order to stay up late, that quieted him down quickly.
All in all, the family's adjusting. Our kids are pretty awesome. I know they're lacking for attention at times, but they're being good sports about it. They're great helpers and even let me take naps without waking me.
