O.K.  So it's not a brand new house, but it will be new to us!  It's as old as our marriage: lucky 13 years!  We're so excited that this is finally happening!  After a year and a half of looking around, and having multiple offers on multiple other properties fall through, we're finally able to close on something.

This is a five bedroom, three bathroom, 2800 sq foot house on a culdesac.  It has a nice big pond and huge back yard (all dirt--blank slate).  The kids will finally have a place to throw around a ball and ride bikes.  It's also in the same school boundaries so no changing schools for the kiddies.  As you'll see in the pictures below, it is a bit of a fixer, but we really couldn't ask for more potential in a house for the price.  Click on the pictures below to see them big.

yeah! so excited for you! my opions on your questions.....

I would do hard wood on the stairs if it's under the carpet already, cuz new carpet will get dirty and worn again soon w/ stair traffic.

put in a double oven and move the microwave, and that solves your "small oven" prob.

can paint the banister posts white and leave rail would to cover the dark stain gone wrong. I wouldn't stain it all dark and I don't know how you would strip it back down to light would but it's probably a pain. you could paint the vertical sides of stairs white too and keep the horizontal tops would and it would tie in the banister/rail thing. I've seen that done a lot and it's cute.

can do concrete stain or paint the concrete on outside back padio to cover that stain.

over all you don't have any MAJOR redos. just paint and stuff which is the fun part to put your touch on it!

LOVE the outside!!! love the punch of color on the garage doors! you prob hate it but I think it's soooo cute!

And it's soooo huge! you'll have to have like 3 more kids!

so happy for you guys! can't wait to see what you do with it!
